All the food was nice and delicious, especially the traditional baked chicken. The staffs were friendly and very considerate. The ambiece is cozy with nice decorations.

Very worth to eat this RM128 set...very well presented and taste very good and special. And not too expensive. Worth to try. Highly recommended

Delicious dishes especially the tender of the chicken. The duck also yummy-licious. We ordered Father’s Day set meal and it is really worthwhile. The curry is damp nice, could not have enough for rice. The environment is cosy, just that the air-con may need servicing as it’s not cooling enough. Service can be improved, the prompt feedback of the waiter and waitress can definitely bring up the point. Overall, it’s a wonderful dining experience.

Half Acre Restaurant made quite an impression on me during my first visit. From the outside, the restaurant stands out with its flashy and eye-catching design, while the interior carries the same bold atmosphere that immediately sets the mood for dining. As someone who is usually a picky eater and not particularly generous with praise when it comes to Chinese cuisine, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of the food here. The spinach and century egg soup was a wonderful start—light yet flavorful, with the right balance of textures that made it very appetizing. The herbal chicken came next, and it was truly the highlight of the meal. The meat was tender, juicy, and infused with aromatic herbs that brought out deep, satisfying flavors. The stir-fried vegetables were also very well executed—fresh, crunchy, and seasoned just right without being overpowering. The stir-fried meat with ginger was another strong dish, savory and fragrant with just the right touch of spice. To finish off, the noodles were perfectly cooked, neither too soft nor too firm, and carried a balance of flavors that tied everything together beautifully. Overall, Half Acre Restaurant delivered a well-thought-out and balanced dining experience. Good job indeed.

My uncle took me and my parents to Half Acre restaurant at Straits Quay. The area we were seated wasn’t half an acre in size but it had quirky fun decorations like the seating made to look like carts. The restaurant is famous for traditional baked chicken which comes whole on a hook. We didn’t order it but we watched another table don gloves (provided by the restaurant) to literally pull the meat from the chicken. We stuck to more conventional dishes. We enjoyed clay pot fish, assam prawns, braised pork belly, clay pot tofu and mixed vegetables

Delicious food and nice environment. Staffs with good services

Half Acre Restaurant at Straits Quay is a solid choice for Chinese food lovers. Their signature roasted Taiwanese chicken is the highlight — crispy on the outside, juicy and flavorful inside, and served with a delicious dipping sauce. Other dishes like the pork trotter, fish and sweet and sour chicken were also well done, with authentic flavors and generous portions. The restaurant has a clean, comfortable setting with a relaxed atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient, and food came out fairly quickly even during dinner hours. Prices are a little on the higher side compared to typical Chinese restaurants, but still reasonable given the quality and location.
